What I wore today... Nothing special but after months of trying to get zaras green parka with leather sleeves (to no avail) I remembered I had bought this H&M green parka while living in toronto years ago. It was hiding in my closet so I pulled it out and paired it with my leather jacket and tada!!
Found this gorgeous Rhinestone embellished and very well tailored blazer at a store called MISSION on 181st, it was on the $30 rack! Had to get it! The feather skirt was gorge too but although I love the way it would look in my closet, I certainly won't wear it much
Didn't buy this but maybe if it goes on sale i will..it's so colorful! Reminds of the Gianni Verace days!
My mom is also a shopper like moi, she found these Isabel Marant knock offs in a $2.00 bin..lool
MISSION had a ton of RVCA Tee for $9.99, they feel sooo good, super soft! Got 2 of them
First time taking our lil' man, Jacob, to the movies to see the Lorax:-) We didn't know what to expect but he thoroughly enjoyed! too cute!
If you follow my blog, you'll notice that I've seldomly worn color and its only because I have a difficult time integrating it to my wardrobe..I find that classic colors such as black, white, navy, khaki, etc are timeless, undated and easy to style..but! I really love the explosion of color these past few seasons and I was tired of watching from the sidelines..this was my attempt at color and I was a truly happy! Any other color, wether its hot pink or orange or purple would have felt trying but this mint green color just spoke to me! It's out there without being too out there, you get me?? ;-)
Mommy's wearing Rachel Roy/Amare Stoudamire baseball jacket (a gift from Rachel's PR, thank you!!) Mint colored jeans found in Washington Heights at Zodiac on 181st and Max Mara heels. Jacob's wearing Gap's letterman jacket, with Children's place electric blue skinnies (found in the girl section) and converse sneaks!
Once again Kim raided my closest last night! She just got her first tatoo (18 year olds...sigh...lol!) and I put this look together for her to show it off without being too obvious..She's wearing UNIF tee, and a cute lil' chiffon silk bikini top from Jean Paul Gaultier (I've had it for years), a tunnel earring from Mary Design in Brazil, and there's her lil' infinity tat..we get an "E" for "Effortless!"
This past winter I called all the Gaps in the city looking for this letterman jacket for my lil' boy in his size. I finally found a store that carried it and had it shipped asap..and just in time for the varsity jacket craze!
Now my lil' man has inspired me to buy one too but I find that it a tricky purchase..passing fad or timeless piece?? hmm
Hoping my peeps at Rachel Roy will help me aquire this sold out Rachel Roy/Amare Stoudamire letterman jacket. And do you know that I actually tried it on and turned it down because I thought it was too expensive ($189)?? Now I'm kicking myself in the butt for that.
Dressing my cousin for a night out with her girlfriends! Since very young I've loved dressing up my friends and family and myself, which explains why I had to become a fashion stylist..It was never for the money but for the love of clothes!!!
Kim raids my closet every so often and I just love helping her put herself together.. She's been inspired by the parisian prep style and this is what we came up with..
Charlotte Russe pleather jacket, Who.A.U. cable sweater, F21 button down, American Apparel leggings and pony hair doc martens, my necklace and ...She's such a lil' chic girl!
Michael Kors watch..
Pony hair leopard Doc Martens w/matching socks (my idea ;-)
My god I love the heights! Found this adorable Cambridge Satchel in electric blue in a cute lil shop on the corner of 163rd and Broadway. It was half price! Paired it with my new Phillip Lim sky blue leather espadrille booties and my grandmas cable bf sweater and called it a day!
