Han Shang So Fierce

When I saw this guy all over the blogs, I was enamored by his jewelry collection, his camel coat and his leopard scarf.  It was the epitome of what Fall 2010 signified.  To me, he is the male version of Kate Lanphear. From his hair cut to the raised collar and his accessories, everything is just super fierce. I haven't had a chance to see all the Pitti Uomo collections in Milan yet nor the Couture ones that growing up were always my favorites to watch. Can't wait to dedicate some time to that.  Do you guys have any favorite male collections so far?

Isn't he so cool?  I would love to see more of him.  Have you guys seem more pictures of him, I tried googling him and didn't have much luck.  All I know is that his name is Han Shang and he is a Chinese Editor.

Maury Cinches it up!

Last weekend Gisela and I had a night out, where I wore this corset from Dolce Gabbana that I recently purchased at Loehmanns. I was having fun with this outfit as the mixture of patterns don't really go together but we thought it would be fun and it reminded us of the latest Gwen Stefani editorial for Elle Mag rocker look. As a lingerie designer, I have always loved corsets and wearing anything that cinches my waist. This is one of my new additions to my corset family and I have to say I really love it. At first, when I saw it in the hanger I was skeptical about the vertical lines but then when I tried it,  I was enamored by it. I love the fact that the sides are padded so it gives you a better illusion of nicer more wider hips. The construction of this corset is amazing as is lined with silk satin and it's meticulously crafted. I am wearing it with Gisela Rayban Wayfarers, Tie-dye jeans purchased in Washington Heights and a AG Tee for Men, with F21 Alexander Wang knockoff fringe open toe booties. The Skull bracelet was purchased on Ebay, Rings purchased in Washington Heights, Spiked Gold Bracelet purchased in Strawberries. Sometimes the best fashion is when you are having fun and you are not taking things so seriously; I felt empowered wearing this outfit! Like a badass girl that was unstoppable and could achieve anything...LOL.

What Gisela Wore this Weekend.....

This weekend I'm celebrating my 6th year wedding anniversary so my hubby and me are spending some QT together and I'm thrilled about it!

I wore a Mason by Michelle Mason gathered dress for dinner Friday night. I love this dress sooo much I bought it in a sage green as well. Reminds me of Vionnet with the draping and such. At the same time I picked this opportunity to wear my Spring 06 gladiator Givenchys! I bought these a couple of years ago on sale because they were missing the leather strap belt on top. I'm looking to add a strap but I've been too lazy. I still think they look cool! Sorry I didn't post a close-up, my toes were not up to par..

Maury's DIY Studded Jeans and new Marc Jacobs Neon Bag

This past Saturday I spent a whole day cleaning out my closet and going through the million things I haven't worn in years. It was overwhelming to even see all the clothes with hangtags still attached to them :( I then found one of my ziplog bags with studs I had bought over a year ago. These were the same studs I had used to stud my vintage boots. I was so bored I began to stud a pair of jeans Gisela and I had bought in the Heights a couple weeks ago. Below is what I wore for Mothers Day. My 3 sisters and I went to visit our other 2 sisters in Queens where they prepared a beautiful seafood dinner for us. We had a lot of fun bonding, chatting and eating the delicious dinner. 

My sister Madelyn also went crazy this past week at the Gilt.com sale and bought a couple bags from Marc Jacobs. This is the one I want to keep our of all the ones she bought. I think the Neon Color pops and I have nothing in my closet that actually has this effect. I am falling for it and I might have to just buy it off from her...LOL. What do you think about it? Should I get it, or should I just let her keep it? I mean I can always borrow it...LOL. 

I am thinking of adding another row of studs, what do you think? Would it be too much?

Both Maury and I are currently working on a a kick-ass post, let's just say, lots of shine and sparkles are involved :-) In the meatime, I wanted to show you my newest purchase. I was so angry after the MMM sample sale that I had to unwind by window shopping at Lohmans. Got this wicked spiked bracelet for $12 and coincidentally I was already wearing my spiked leather cuff that I had purchased in the Heights a few weeks ago. Love the combo! PS: please excuse my undone nails..will be getting a pedi and mani soon so stay tuned. LOL

unLace me Manolo Blahnik...

I have to say, my Manolo Blahnik collection is growing and I am so in love with every piece I own. The obsession started many years ago with Sex and the City where Carrie had a closet full of luscious Manolo stilettos. She would give up on paying the rent and instead buy herself a couple pairs of candy coated color pumps. I must confess that these Suede boots are one of my favorite pieces right now and I own them in brown and black. The brown ones are still packed in the box and I was debating selling them since I already have a black pair but I don't think I can part with them. I love them and would keep them for many years. They are just so comfortable. They are a bit stripper-ish, everytime I wear them heads turn and necks break! They are the most sensual boots out there as they are skin tight and have the beautiful lacing in the back which gives it that Whoa effect!

We went to Son Cubano in the meatpacking district after having an awful time waiting to be seated at Sushi Samba. We went out to celebrate Yen's departure to Toronto. I am dying for Yen to move to NYC and take the fashion industry by storm. We are going to miss you Yen, till next time darling :)

 I am wearing Rachel Roy Silk Blouson, our friend Yen designed this amazing studded belt by Brave Belts, AA leggings, Manolo Blahnik Thigh High Lace up Suede boots. The feather earrings are amazingly beautiful, unfortunately I found them before Gisela and she really wanted a pair, "sorry manita". We got them at Loehmanns but we forgot what brand they were.

Addiction Problem: Chain this, Chain that...

So months have passed and I think I have now recognized my new addiction. It has been hard trying to understand and voice it to friends, but I am convinced that my studding and chain addiction is a problem that I need to see a therapist for.  I mean, do they have any kind of therapist for trying to do a lot of DIY projects? Well don't take me to the therapist yet, as I have a quick DIY that is super easy and looks amazing. 

 We went to Forever 21 today and saw these amazing Medieval Necklaces that we thought would look cool around our necks, but can also be used as embellishments for our shoes. All the Fall 09 boots and shoes are looking so hot but we can't wait till next fall so we are taking matters to our hands wearing this before it comes out to your nearest Barneys or Neimans.  We have been loving all the Isabel Marant boots lately and all the Thigh high boots from Rodarte, Stella McCartney, Louis Vuitton and Margiela for Fall 09. Well Look at my lovely creations. I can't wait to wear them out!

Its funny because I have never worn these boots either and they are just collecting dust, now I think they are going to be my new staples. So I can give my Gucci-Style studded boots a rest. 

Our Radar: Delfina Delettrez

At such a tender age, this young fourth generation Fendi knew that her calling was involved in the discipline of fashion. She is the daughter of Silvia Venturini Fendi who heralds the Fendi brand with Karl Lagerfeld and Bernard Delettrez who is a French Jeweler. Now at 21, her collection is exquisite, unique and collectable. Gisela and I have a yearn for anything that resembles anatomy like skulls and bones, so when we saw the amazing skeleton-wrist piece Delfina created we were salivating to see more and get to know this young designer. If we can only afford to pay about $20,000 for one of these art pieces we would be in heaven! The collection also has beautiful pieces that run the gamut of fang necklaces to frog rings. If you are in NYC you can see the collection at Henri Bendel on Fifth Avenue, if you are in Paris don't forget to stop at Colette where her collection first previewed. This is a girl with talent and lots of promise so I can't wait to see more of what she creates.
