Thanks to ny.racked.com I found out that Net-a-porter.com had a secret sale this past Wednesday, 50% off! I decided to check it out thinking that perhaps there may be absolutely nothing for me, but Alas! there was something for me! I love my nude/black Valentinos sooo much that I hoped one day I'd be able to get another pair and here they are!

What Comes Around Goes Around (WCGA) vintage store in Soho invited us to their "Rock Tee Extravaganza" event to celebrate their new purchase of an amazing collection of vintage rock tees. I mean we are talking about tees that were either worn at actual concerts or tees worn by the artists themselves. Tees came with a hefty tag price but that did not stop hardcore vintage tee-lovers from forking over the dough!
Can't remember if her name was Laura or Lara but she was way too cool! She helped curate the event and happily gave us a walk thru. She had this heroine-chic meets hill billy vibe and we loved it! Check out her wild child style!
This Ramones tee came with the actual concert ticket. I think the price was $800.
WCGA has their own line and these bell-bottom silk leopard pants is part of it. If you ever want to successfully sell clothing, just have a hot chick wear the item and have her stand next to the rack!

Afterwards we stopped by Monika Chiang's store opening on Prince St. in soho. The BagSnob girls Kelly & Tina hosted the event. If you can't afford Isabel Marant, Alexander Wang, The Row, Christian Louboutin or Giusseppi Zanotti come here and shop similar styles for a fraction of the price.

Last week Maury emailed me a link from nyracked.com regarding the CL sale, she asked me to hit up the pr girls so we can get an invite. And so I did! The girls at CL were more than happy to have us come through. I've worked with their press office for many years, pulling for celebs, magazines and tv so its only fair I get a chance to peruse their stock for my own selfish reasons, lol..
Below is the coveted invite! As I stood on line that day for nearly 2 hours, I had a lady come up to me and offer me money so that I can get her in. Sadly, I couldn't help her because I had already invited Maury and Yen to be my guests..
So I bitched and complained about the long wait but when I saw these, I said to myself it was worth the wait! CL's "Change of the Guard" platforms in Royal blue! Amazing! Can't walk a lick in them but they are wicked!
These are on ebay for sale now. Not sure if I'm doing the right thing though? Will I regret selling them? What do you guys think? Keep or sell? I feel like I can't get much use out of them now that I'm a mom of 3 babies..but maybe in the future they will come in handy...I'd love to get your opinion.
OMG when I saw these lizard Pigalles I went bananas! I was so pissed they weren't my size! I stuck my foot in them hoping somehow the material would give way but wishful thinking on my part. These are so heavenly! They are a classic pump and sexy as hell. Also up on ebay..
I couldn't go wrong with these CL "Champus" for the awesome price I paid! They look like mermaid shoes! I noticed this was the choice for many brides in recent past. They are so delicate and sweet and they fit me like a dream but right now they are not keepers, my babies will poop and vomit all over them..so they are up on ebay too :-(

On my last job with Iman, I fell in love with one of her HSN "Global Chic" bags from the fall collection. It was so luxurious, I couldn't believe it was an HSN product! Leave it to the incredibly stylish entrepreneur and mother of 2 to come up with such a brilliant design for a carryall. I told her how much I loved it and she promised me one! Thank goodness for that because these sold out quickly.
Alas, the chocolate Vanchetta leather carryall with pony hair flap and gorgeous gold hardware bearing the IMAN logo. Pure genius! And to think, only $369!
The logo doubles as a keychain! How clever!
I love how the zipper hardware looks like african masks! I'm sure it was intentional on her part, genius!

By the way, a few weeks ago I spent a lovely weekend with my sister in law in Long Island. She's big on garage sales and I've never been to one, since I live in Manhattan. It was so much fun going from neighborhood to neighborhood shopping on people's lawns and everything was dirt cheap. Get a load of my baroque vintage mirror purchased for $30, and I didn't even have to haggle!

You just gotta love Macy's! Apparently this Burberry Prorsum trench knock-off by Walter Baker is a popular item and has been heavily coveted by consumers since the announcement it would hit stores. I tried it on and I totally loved it! I especially adore the gold zipper on the sleeve, such a great contrast and can't beat the $168 price tag!

Last weekend the hubby and I treated ourselves to a lil' getaway for our birthdays. I booked us a room at Thompson Hotel's "Gild Hall" in the Financial District. Most hotels in Manhattan are overpriced and underwhelming in decor but this one was affordable and visually impressive! Designed by Jim Walrod, Gild Hall combines rustic and deco pieces to create a homely yet chic environment.

Creme de La Mer - definitely worth the splurge! I have horribly dry, lifeless skin during the winter and this is the fountain of youth!
Khiel's Anti-perspirant/deoderant - I came upon this product after years of looking for a deoderant that would keep me fresh and non-smelly. This is deoderant is heaven-sent! I'v been using it for 3 years now and I'm fresh and confident daily.
Lancome's Tresor - I found my signature scent about 20 years ago when my mom gifted me a sample. It's the perfect autumn/winter scent for my body chemistry! The hubby loves it. This year I found my summer scent too, Chloe!
Chanel's Pro-Lumiere foundation - Again, another product which took years to find. It's an all coverage foundation, but feels very light and fresh. Makes the skin feel supple and vibrant and not to mention it hides all my skin's imperfections.
Khiel's Ultra Facial Cleanser- Just received this as a sample at Khiel's. Loved it the first few times I used it. Very light, no fragrance, just natural. I will continue to use it and see if it's a keeper :-)
Hubby and I after we took in the Broadway Show "Rock of Ages." It was a super cute show, started off slow but ended with a bang!
