Last night, cleaning up by boudoir and sifting through my jewelry...trying to find a pracitcal way to expose my accessories so that I can put them to use more often..I think i I found a way...placing them on this Vitruvian "I Love You" statue!

To Shave or Not to Shave?

I'm getting that itch again.... To do something new, something exciting and fun... Shave my sides or not? Is it too trendy? Does it scream 2010? Or is it something adventurous and spontaneous that is worth the thrill?

Family Outing at the Vanderbilt Museum

 A spontaneous family outing while visiting auntie Nargis in Long Island last weekend..We stopped the car upon setting our eyes on this amazing gated estate!

According to the Vanderbilt Museum website, this is what they are about:

"The Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum — a unique combination of mansion, marine and natural history museum, planetarium and park..Exhibition and program themes focus upon Long Island's Gold Coast Era and upon William K. Vanderbilt II's desire that his marine, natural history, and ethnographic collections promote appreciation and understanding of the marvelous diversity of life, other cultures, and scientific knowledge."

Here we are entering the grounds..Papa Abe, Mama Gisela, baby Camila on mom, older brother Jacob on hands and lil' man Izak in stroller..

Maury's New Look!

Miss Maury's been hard at work sculpting her body the past few months and with amazing results! She's a gym rat, her hole of choice is the Equinox fitness center on 92nd st...

African Burchell Zebra Rug!

So every time I buy something I try to justify it..either by convincing myself that I need it as opposed to wanting it...other times I make a swap, i.e. I buy something I sell something on ebay. This time around my justification is Xmas! What better reason to get myself gifts, lol! 

Gift #1 After years of yearning for an authentic African Burchell Zebra rug, I finally found a seller on craigslist who gave me the deal of the century..ta-da! (P.S. this zebra was not hunted! Died of natural causes.)

Gift #2 Rock tees from Urban Outfitters...although I love my "Milano" tee that you guys see me wear all the time, I figured I should get a few back ups, just to vary... and I'm super happy with my choices

Gift #3 I've also been yearning for a Panasonic Lumix 20mm 1.7 aspheric lens (as you can see I yearn alot, lol,) which will make my GF1 dslr the most practical camera to travel around due to its manageable size. I couldn't wait to try the lens and I was not disappointed! check out the clarity!

Gift #4 Last but not least, I couldnt resist buying the Christian Louboutin book! For the following reasons: it's Pink! its got a leather cover! and it's got shoe's galore!

I don't really care for xmas to tell you the truth, I believe we should give everyday and help those less fortunate at all times, and I do try to do so in my own personal way... but this year is different. Since having twins I've had a slew of people help me with my 3 babies..from family members to friends, so this year I will be giving each person a lil' something to show my gratitude for being so kind to me and my family..in total 22 people! Expensive right? well, no! Thanks to gilt.com and other online stores, I managed to not break the bank! I.e. some of my loved ones will receive D.L. & Co. diffusers and candles! I'm such a fan! especially their packaging!

McQueen + Ohne Titel Events

My besties and I attended a couple of events this past tuesday and it was oh so fun! We got gussied up and stepped out in full throttle!

First event: Alexander McQueen and Barlas Baylar of Hudson Furniture Collection Partner on New Design Debut

I dont know if you guys remember this lady? I had blogged about her sometime last year when I spotted her in the Museum of Natural History's gift shop wearing all red, and here she is again! So Chic!

Like some of you, I'm an Isabel Marant fan, so when I spotted this girl (on the left) wearing her navajo jeans and denim shearling I just had to click away..

Here's our stylish Yen wearing a gorgeous Phillip Lim fur/leather coat and sick Pierre Hardy mocassin boots! Now I gotta get me a pair! She was like 6 feet tall in them!

Maury wore her vintage Pendeleton knit cardi with leather vest and trustee Moschino boots!

I wore that Walter Baker trench I can't get enough off, a chainmail necklace from Bebe, vintage tee, Zara leggings and my favorite Chloe suede shoes with Alexander Wang bag.
